At the end of December 2017 there were only 637 active single family home listings. As of today there are 1,077. That’s a whopping 69.07% more homes for sale. So already there is more competition than the same time last year. If you wait until Spring there will just be even MORE competition.
MORE COMPETITION AS WE MOVE TOWARD SPRING
In 2018 we saw new listings grow steadily through Spring months. We will most likely see this again this Spring. January 2018 – 470. February 2018 – 532. March 2018 – 551. April – 646. May – 748. June – 754.
INTEREST RATES ARE RISING
Interest rates rose steadily during the Fall months then took a small dip back down in Mid-November and have remained lower than earlier in the Fall. Many experts say that rates will go up throughout 2019. This has most Realtors suggesting to their clients they should take advantage of the rates NOW.
