Big news in the Reno Sparks area yesterday was that Google has purchased 1,210 acres of land out in the Tahoe Regional Industrial Center (TRIC).  Read more here. This is exciting news.  Who isn’t impressed by Google?  But the question to ask is how is this going to affect home buyers and sellers here in the Reno-Sparks area.

Sellers and home builders are jumping for joy!  The demand for affordable single family homes is high and inventories are very low.  If you have been considering selling your home NOW is the time.  Caution: just because it’s easy to get an offer on your home doesn’t mean you should consider selling it yourself or hiring your nephew who just got his license.  Be sure to look for an agent with experience.  Getting the offer is only a small part of what is needed to CLOSE THE DEAL.

Buyers are feeling maximum frustration.  Many who are relocating here from other areas of the country to work for Panasonic, Tesla, Switch and others quickly learn that finding a place to live can be challenging.  We try to set realistic expectations for our buyers – get pre-qualified and sell your home before you get started.  Remove as many obstacles a possible.  Be prepared to act quickly and make strong offers.  It’s a jungle out there.
